I should say this first: I build one of the tools on this page. You can weigh what follows accordingly, and I have tried to write it so that you do not have to trust me, by naming what each competitor does better and what mine does not do at all.
Every price here was checked on the ninth of September 2026 on the company website. Where a company does not publish its prices, I say so instead of guessing.
The five things worth comparing
Most of these tools describe themselves in almost identical words, so the marketing pages are close to useless for telling them apart. These are the differences that actually change what you get.
1. Is the measurement yours, or shared
This is the biggest one and it is nearly invisible from the outside. WedSearch states in clause eleven of its own terms that a query is run once per region and the answer is shared between all customers in that region. Two photographers in the same county are looking at the same answer. It is an understandable choice at seven pounds ninety nine a month, because individual runs cost real money, but it means the result is not a measurement of you.
2. How many services, and which ones
Four services matter for wedding work right now: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude. Watch for add on pricing here. Otterly includes ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot in every tier, and lists Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode as paid extras, so the twenty nine dollar plan does not cover two of the four services that matter most.
3. How many times each question is asked
Almost nobody advertises this, and it decides whether the number you are shown is real. Ask an AI service the same question twice and you can get two different lists.
Breadth and reliability pull against each other here, and it is a real trade off rather than a trick. A hundred questions asked once tells you about a wider range of phrasings. Twenty questions asked three times tells you which of your positions are solid. Neither is wrong, but you should know which one you bought.
4. What comes out of it
A dashboard you log into, or something written that lands in your inbox and can be forwarded to whoever builds your site. Most wedding vendors do not log into another dashboard twice. Be honest with yourself about which one you would actually use.
5. Whether it costs more than the problem
If you shoot fifteen weddings a year, a tool at one hundred dollars a month has to pay for itself with more than a whole booking every year just to break even. Several of the best known tools in this category are priced for brands with marketing departments, and they are not badly built, they are simply not aimed at you.
The comparison
| Tool | Entry price | Prompts at that price | Services | Runs per question | Output | Built for weddings |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wedding Mentions | 29 USD a month | 20, written for your site | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude | Three | PDF report by email | Yes |
| Scope | 25 USD a month | 100 a month | ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity | Not stated | Dashboard, history | No |
| WedSearch | 7.99 GBP a month | 40 preset, 50 max | ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity | Weekly, shared per region | Dashboard, no export | Yes |
| Otterly Lite | 29 USD a month | 15 prompts | ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity, Copilot. Claude and Gemini extra | Not stated | Dashboard | No |
| Peec AI Starter | Price not published | 50, billed annually | Choose three of six | Not stated | Dashboard | No |
| Trakkr Growth | 100 USD a month | 50, one brand | Eight models included | Not stated | Dashboard, articles | No |
| North and South Agency | 297 USD once | Not stated | ChatGPT named only | Not stated | 30 page report | Yes, agency |
Prices checked on the company websites on 9 September 2026. Peec AI does not publish prices for its Starter, Pro and Advanced plans. Where a company does not state how many times it asks each question, that is what the empty cell means: it is not stated anywhere public, not that the answer is one.
Tool by tool, including what each does better than mine
Scope
The strongest general option at this price, and the one I would look at first if you are not sure. Twenty five dollars a month buys a hundred prompt checks across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, with a visibility score, history, competitors and citations. The free checker takes a domain and returns a score in about a minute without asking for an email, which is a nicer front door than mine, since mine asks for an email first.
What to be aware of. It is a general platform with landing pages per profession, and the wedding pages follow the same template as the ones for dentists and auto repair shops, with the trade swapped in. The claims on those pages are not sourced. The wedding planner page states that seventy nine percent of couples research planners through AI, and I have not been able to find where that number comes from. It also does not say how many times it asks each question.
WedSearch
The cheapest wedding specific option by a distance, seven pounds ninety nine a month or sixty four ninety nine a year, and it locks your price while you stay subscribed. If your budget is genuinely under ten pounds a month, this is the honest answer and I am not going to pretend otherwise.
The catch is the shared regional answer described above, plus region level rather than city level, three services rather than four, and no export, no PDF and no email report. It is British, priced in pounds, and the examples are all British regions.
Otterly and Peec AI
Both are competent tools built for marketing teams, and both are the names AI services hand out most often when someone asks about this category, which tells you more about their content than about their fit for you.
Otterly Lite is twenty nine dollars for fifteen prompts, with Claude and Gemini as paid add ons, which for a wedding vendor is the worst value on this page. Its Standard plan at one hundred and eighty nine dollars is a real tool for a real marketing team. Peec starts at fifty prompts, bills annually, lets you pick three engines, and does not publish its prices at all, which is usually a sign that you are not the customer they had in mind.
Trakkr
One hundred dollars a month for fifty prompts and eight models, plus generated articles. Well built and clearly not aimed at a solo vendor. Worth knowing about mainly because its wedding venue listicles are cited constantly in AI answers, so you will meet the name whether or not you ever use it.
North and South Agency
Not a tool but a marketing agency for wedding vendors, selling a thirty page AI visibility report for two hundred and ninety seven dollars once, with ongoing tracking at fifty dollars a month and a done for you package at two thousand nine hundred and ninety seven. If you want a person to do the work rather than a number to act on, this is the one on this page that offers that.
Semrush and Ahrefs
Both have added AI visibility features to existing SEO suites. If you already pay for one of them, use what you have before buying anything new. If you do not, the full suites cost far more than this problem is worth to a single wedding business.
Wedding Mentions, and what it does not do
Mine. Twenty nine dollars a month, or two hundred and ninety a year, or one hundred and forty nine for a single report with no subscription. Twenty questions written after reading your site, asked three times each to all four services, which is two hundred and forty answers a month. What comes back is a PDF listing every question you hold, every question you nearly hold, and every question you lose with the names taking your place.
What it does not do. There is no dashboard and no live score, so you cannot log in and watch a number move. It measures twenty questions rather than a hundred, so it will miss phrasings a broader tool would catch. It does not measure Google rankings. There is no API, no integrations, and no team seats. And it is one person, not a company with a support queue.
Which one, in one line each
Budget under ten pounds and you accept a shared regional answer: WedSearch. You want the most prompts per pound and are comfortable in a dashboard: Scope. You want your own measurement, repeated, written up in something you can forward: Wedding Mentions. You want a person to do the work for you: North and South. You have a marketing team and a budget: Otterly Standard, Peec or Trakkr. You already pay for Semrush or Ahrefs: use that first.
And if you are not sure any of this is worth paying for yet, do not. Run a free check somewhere, mine or Scopes, see whether you come up at all, and decide after you have seen the answer rather than before.
The free check here asks four questions to ChatGPT and Perplexity and takes about a minute, and the method behind the paid version is written out in full, including what it cannot tell you.
Questions people ask next
What is the best AI visibility tool for a wedding photographer?
It depends on whether you want breadth or reliability. Scope at twenty five dollars a month tracks the most prompts for the money and is a solid general choice. Wedding Mentions at twenty nine dollars asks fewer questions but asks each one three times across four services and sends a written report instead of a dashboard. Otterly at the same twenty nine dollars gives you fifteen prompts and charges extra for Claude and Gemini, which makes it poor value at the entry tier. WedSearch is the cheapest at seven ninety nine a month but shares one set of answers between everyone in your region.
Are there affordable AI visibility tools for a small wedding business under fifty dollars a month?
Yes, four of them. WedSearch at seven pounds ninety nine, Scope at twenty five dollars, Wedding Mentions at twenty nine dollars and Otterly Lite at twenty nine dollars. Everything else in this category starts at one hundred dollars a month and is built for agencies and brands rather than for one photographer in one city.
What are the alternatives to Otterly and Peec AI for a wedding photographer?
Otterly and Peec are both built for marketing teams, which shows in the entry tiers: Otterly Lite gives you fifteen prompts and treats Claude and Gemini as paid add-ons, and Peec starts at fifty prompts on annual billing and does not publish its prices. For one wedding business the realistic alternatives are Scope, Wedding Mentions and WedSearch, all of which are priced for a single owner rather than a team.
Can I get a report showing how my wedding business ranks in AI answers compared to competitors?
Most of these tools show competitors somewhere. The difference is what you can do with it. Scope, Trakkr, Otterly and Peec show it inside a dashboard you log into. Wedding Mentions sends a PDF that lists, question by question, the businesses named in your place and how often each one comes up, which is the version you can forward to whoever builds your website. North and South Agency sells a one off thirty page report of the same shape for two hundred and ninety seven dollars.
Why do these tools give different results for the same business?
Because they ask different questions, ask different services, and ask a different number of times. A tool that asks each question once will disagree with itself if you run it twice, so two tools disagreeing is expected. What matters is that whichever one you pick keeps its own method identical from month to month, since the trend is the only part that means anything.
