Wedding Mentions or Otterly: which one fits a wedding business?

Otterly tracks fewer questions far more often and covers two engines this does not. Wedding Mentions asks more wedding questions, three times each, and writes the report. Prices checked September 2026.

Otterly is a serious brand monitoring tool that happens to work for wedding businesses. Wedding Mentions is a wedding measurement that does not work for anybody else. The entry price is the same and almost nothing else is.

Where Otterly is straightforwardly better

Two things, and neither is close. It covers Google AI Overviews, which sits directly in the search results your couples already use, and this measurement does not cover it at all. And it tracks daily, so if you are trying to see whether a change had an effect this week rather than next month, that is the tool.

The higher tiers also do things this product has no equivalent for, including API and MCP access, which matter if you are an agency reporting to clients rather than a photographer trying to get booked.

Where the difference runs the other way

Fifteen prompts is not many distinct questions for a wedding business, because the ways a couple can ask are genuinely varied. Style, venue, price, region, language. In the measurements the questions that go unanswered are almost always the specific ones, and a short prompt list tends to hold the broad ones.

The other difference is Claude, which Otterly does not track and which behaved distinctly in every measurement, holding the fewest stable positions of the four while citing generously when it did use a site. Whether that matters depends on whether your couples use it.

Frequency against specificity. Otterly asks fewer questions very often. This asks more of your own questions, three times each, once a month, and then somebody writes down what to change.

An honest note about counting

Every tool in this category advertises a number that sounds impressive and means something different. Checks, prompts, credits, queries. Fifteen prompts tracked daily on four engines is roughly eighteen hundred queries a month, which is far more raw volume than the two hundred and forty answers behind one report here.

Volume is not the point though. Two hundred and forty answers to the right twenty questions tells you more about whether you get booked than eighteen hundred answers to fifteen generic ones. That is my claim and you should treat it as a claim, not a measurement.

Questions people ask next

Does Otterly cover more AI services?

It covers two that this does not, Google AI Overviews and Microsoft Copilot, and it does not cover Claude. So it is not more or less, it is a different four. If AI Overviews matter to you, and for a business that already ranks in Google search they may matter a great deal, that is a real reason to choose Otterly.

Fifteen prompts sounds like very few. Is it?

It is few distinct questions and a lot of total queries, because they are tracked daily across four engines. Fifteen questions run every day is a far higher query volume than twenty questions run three times a month. The trade is breadth of question against frequency of checking, and which one you want depends on whether you are trying to find gaps or watch movement.

Which is better value at twenty nine dollars?

At that price Otterly gives you fifteen tracked prompts with daily updates and a dashboard. Wedding Mentions gives you twenty questions written from your own site, asked three times on four services, and a written report with actions. If you want to know what to change, take the report. If you want to watch a number, take the dashboard.
