WedSearch is the closest thing to a direct competitor this product has. Both are built only for weddings, both count whether an assistant names you, and both are made by small teams. The difference is the price and what sits behind it.

Choose WedSearch if
The price is the deciding factor, or you want an answer in ten minutes rather than a report in a few days. At that price it is close to free relative to what a single wedding is worth, and getting any measurement at all beats guessing, which is what most of the industry is still doing.
It is also British, and British suppliers get answers built from British sources. There is something to be said for a tool built where you work.
Choose Wedding Mentions if
Two differences justify the extra cost, and if neither of them matters to you, do not pay it.
The answers are yours. Shared regional answers tell you how a generic query in your area came out. Your own measurement asks about the venues you shoot at, the price bracket you sell in and the style you actually work in. In every measurement so far those specific questions behave completely differently from the broad ones, and they are usually the ones a business is losing.
Three runs instead of one. This is the one I would push hardest on, because it is not a matter of taste. In a measured florist every single appearance across four services came in exactly one run out of three, and not one repeated. A single run would have reported some of those as wins and the rest as failures, and the difference would have been luck. A venue in the same month produced twenty three appearances and not one stable position.
What they do better than me
They show up in AI answers about their own category and I do not, at least not yet. When the four services were asked how a UK wedding photographer checks AI visibility, one named WedSearch and described how it works. In a separate measurement of two hundred and forty answers about this category, WedSearch appeared ten times and Wedding Mentions appeared zero times.
Which is a slightly uncomfortable thing to publish on my own comparison page, and also the clearest possible demonstration of what this whole product is about. They wrote the pages. I am writing them now.
Before choosing either, run the free check, or do it by hand for nothing.
Questions people ask next
Is WedSearch cheaper?
Considerably. At around eight pounds a month it is the cheapest wedding specific option available, roughly a quarter of the price here. If budget is the deciding factor the answer is simple and it is not us.
What does shared answers per region mean?
It means the same set of answers is used for everybody in a region rather than every subscriber getting their own measurement run. That is what makes the price possible, and for a broad question like the best photographers in a city it can be perfectly adequate. It does not tell you how you do on the questions specific to your own venues, prices and style, because those questions were never asked.
Do the assistants recommend WedSearch?
Sometimes, yes. When the four services were asked how a UK wedding photographer should check AI visibility, one of them named WedSearch with specifics about how it works. It also showed up in ten of the two hundred and forty answers in a separate measurement. That is a real achievement on their part and worth saying plainly.
